Violations of any of the following may result in disciplinary action, which may be provided to include intervention, conflict mediation, detention, suspension, or expulsion in accordance with the procedures set forth under due process for dealing with violations. A student shall not at any time: - By use of violence, force, noise, coercion, threat, intimidation, fear, passive resistance, repeatedly fail to comply with directions of any staff members, temporary or permanent, or any other conduct cause the disruption or obstruction of any lawful rule, mission, process, or function of the school. *Note: Any student who verbally threatens or physically assaults a staff member shall be recommended for an expulsion hearing.
- Cause or attempt to cause damage to public or private property.
- Steal or attempt to steal private or public property.
- Cause or attempt to cause physical injury or behave in such a way as could reasonably cause physical injury to a school employee or any other person.
- Possess, handle, or transmit, any object that can be considered a weapon or a look-a-like weapon.
- Possess, use, transmit, or be under the influence of any narcotic drug, hallucinogenic drug, amphetamine, inhalant, barbiturate, marijuana, alcoholic beverage, intoxicant, controlled chemical substance or counterfeit controlled substance of any kind. (Use of a drug authorized by a medical prescription from a physician shall not be considered a violation of this rule if the prescription is registered to the student.)
- Smoke or possess cigarettes or any tobacco product on school property or at any school sanctioned functions.
- Gamble on school property.
- Forge, falsify, alter, or illegally possess school forms, or use forged notes or excuses.
- Engage in other misconduct, which is detrimental to the health, safety, and welfare of his fellow students or others.
- Be absent from class or school (including tardiness) for unapproved reasons. (Students who violate this regulation shall be considered truant.)
- Use abusive, malicious, or profane language on school property or at any school related activity.
