School, city and business leaders in Garfield Heights gathered in the cafeteria of Garfield Heights High School to welcome students and parents new to our district and community for the 2007-2008 school year.  The Welcome to Garfield Heights! Event was developed by our school and community partners with the goal of sharing with new residents the pride of membership in the Garfield Heights learning community. 

New residents had the opportunity to meet our elected officials from the Garfield Heights Board of Education and the Garfield Heights City Council; Superintendent Jeanne A. Sternad,district administrators and staff; Garfield Heights Police and Fire Department officials; and leaders representing nearly 20 businesses and churches in Garfield Heights, including the Garfield Heights Chamber of Commerce.
