Whose IDEA Is It? A Resource Guide for Parents 

 
In November 2004, the United States Congress passed the Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act of 2004 (IDEA).  This new version of the federal law governing special education became effective July 1, 2005. In Ohio, Whose IDEA Is This? A Resource Guide for Parents serves as the Procedural Safeguards Notice in accordance with 34 CFR 300.504.
