Garfield Heights City Schools ready to implement new five-year Strategic Plan.
For the past year we have worked with the local community and the school district staff in an extensive series of actions that have lead to a comprehensive Strategic Plan for the Garfield Heights City Schools. Our five year strategic plan is now complete and we are ready implement the first year of the plan.
This is both and exciting and challenging time in Garfield Heights City Schools. As a school district we have set high expectations for ourselves – to become a high performing school district in preparing our students for the 21stCentury. With the work that has been completed on our Strategic Plan there is a strong foundation in place from which we will build upon in order to accomplish this ambitious goal.
Our new vision and mission statements express, we are responsible“to ensure the development of high-achieving and responsible citizens, and to ensure these citizens – our students – graduate with the skills, knowledge, and experiences needed to fulfill their dreams and to be life and work ready for the 21stCentury.”
As superintendent, I am excited by the amount of input we received from the various stakeholders in the community in developing this plan. The plan will allow us to continuously evaluate our operation in order to align resources to our strategic goals and to identify the most efficient and effective means to fulfill our mission and operational objectives.
