As of the Fall of 2024, the Garfield Heights City Schools has embarked upon a comprehensive, community-based Strategic Planning effort, in order to refresh the current strategic plan, and chart a course of action for the short-term and long-term future. Assisted by our partners at the Educational Services Center of Northeast Ohio, already several meetings have taken place with support and insights from members of the community. Among the considerations being discussed at the present time are the district’s mission statement, identifying our day-to-day aim as an educational institution. In addition, the stakeholder group that has been formed is contemplating our vision, and in what direction we as a school district are headed into the future. The GHCS will share updates with the community from time to time, with the intention of having a full strategic plan prepared for board approval and public inspection later this spring.
