The Garfield Heights City Schools wishes everyone in our community a Happy Thanksgiving. Throughout the district, celebrations of various types helped to round out one of the more exciting weeks during the school year. Activities and "Friendsgiving" events took place at all ages. At William Foster Elementary School, kindergarten students wrapped a chapter learning about the Pilgrims and the very first Thanksgiving with such a feast, where students and families furnished potluck items for the entire class to enjoy. Fruit, cheese, crackers, drinks, and other tasty treats were enjoyed by students and staff. The GHCS will recognize the Thanksgiving Holiday on Wednesday, November 27th through Friday, November 29th and class will resume on Monday, December 2nd.
