Trick-or-treat and Halloween costumes transcended generations earlier this week, as students throughout the district dressed up in spooky, symbolic, or festive outfits to celebrate the fall-themed holiday. High School students, who are part of the Theater Department, were accompanied by Mr. Benjamin, and visited our friends at Garfield Heights Senior Center to mingle and share in their Halloween holiday party. Various costumes included witches, clowns, cats, and scary slasher masks…and these represent the senior citizens’ apparel! Fittingly, our students who were dressed in similar holiday costumes actively engaged our older adult stakeholder friends, and participated in various worksheets, shared candy, and tapped-their-toes Halloween music. Near the end of the visit, a group picture was taken of all of the participants of the Halloween party. Students from the Theater Department were on-hand to promote the fall preview which is taking place on Thursday, November 16th where senior citizens are transported to the High School’s Center for Performing Arts to watch. Thank you to everyone who made this Halloween so special for the high school students and our senior citizens.
