Mr. Lehmann and Mr. Johnson escorted students from Garfield Heights High School to the Engineering and Computing Professions Visit Day at the University of Akron. This is an event held on campus by faculty and students to introduce high school students to engineering and computing professions.
This interactive event included hands-on activities that rotated through three areas of engineering and computing. Lunch was provided along with panel discussion regarding programs and housing at the U of A.
The University of Akron has a strong computer science program, with a Computer Center established in 1957. The program helps students prepare for careers in business, education, industry, and government.
