Garfield Heights Hosts Successful 2024 Level UP College/Career Expo
Garfield Heights High School's Guidance Office, in collaboration with the College and Career Readiness Office, hosted the highly anticipated 2024 Level UP College/Career Expo on October 15th and 16th. The two-day event aimed to provide students with the resources, connections, and inspiration necessary to plan their post-high school futures.
More than 30 representatives from skilled trades, the military, and various employment sectors were present, offering a wealth of opportunities for students interested in careers that don’t require a four-year college degree. In addition, 20 colleges and universities participated, offering invaluable networking opportunities for those pursuing higher education.
The Level UP College/Career Expo provided Garfield Heights students the chance to connect with peers, as well as professionals in various fields, all while gathering crucial information to make informed decisions about their futures. Students were able to speak with professionals covering a wide range of topics, including financial aid, scholarship opportunities, and career programs outside of traditional college tracks. These opportunities also empowered students to envision life beyond high school, giving them the tools to take charge of their own academic and career pathways.
This year’s expo was a comprehensive resource hub, offering free guidance on college admissions, career and technical education, and much more. With access to key information on scholarships and various education pathways, Garfield Heights students left the event better equipped to set and achieve their academic and career goals.
The 2024 Level UP College/Career Expo was a testament to Garfield Heights High School’s commitment to preparing students for success, providing them with the tools and confidence to step into their futures with purpose and clarity.
