Garfield Heights City Schools Recognizes High Performing Students, Instructors with Annual Roses for Teachers Ceremony

The time-honored, uniquely Garfield Heights tradition of the Roses for Teachers ceremony took place this past Monday at the regular April meeting of the Board of Education. The highest performing members of the Garfield Heights High School senior class were recognized with great excitement on Monday, April 19th before a sizeable audience of parents, family members, administrators, and staff. Each individually recognized senior, in a wonderful expression of gratitude, honored the teacher from his or her Garfield Heights experience over the years who most greatly impacted them, with a rose. The High School honorees for this year are:

  • RACHED ARDA
  • MATTHEW CERMAK
  • RYAN LARSEN
  • JOSEPH LENART
  • JAMES NEWTON
  • CHARITY PERRY
  • HALEY SOBOCINSKI
  • NATHAN WICHERT

Each of these individuals will graduate with a Summa Cum Laude recognition, considered to be 'with highest honors.' On behalf of everyone in the Garfield Heights City Schools, congratulations to these individuals, the teachers who were recognized, and their families. Your hard work, determination, and dedication are demonstrated with this honor.
