Safe and Smooth Return to Hybrid Learning on Monday, March 8th

Students and staff returned to in-person education in a highly structured Hybrid Learning Model, on
Monday, March 8th. Despite the cold temperatures outside, sincere joy and heartfelt warmth
accompanied the greetings between students and staff at each of the buildings. Superintendent
Christopher G. Hanke joined Board President Nichelle N. Daniels, Vice President Millette King, M.Ed.,
L.S.W. and Member Ashley M. Thomas, M.Ed in expressing true happiness and compassion as students
walked off busses and formed socially distanced lines awaiting their entry into the buildings. Upon
entering, students had their temperatures taken in a highly organized process with thermometers or
thermal imaging technology to ensure safety. Mask requirements and social distancing protocols were
clearly posted so that students and staff members could easily remain compliant and safe while
resuming the in-person learning environment. Thank you to the families who helped in preparing each
of their respective students for the successful and safe resuming of in-person Hybrid Learning.
