Garfield Heights City Schools Commemorates the Life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
The Garfield Heights City Schools encourages everyone to commemorate the life and ideas of the late Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on Monday, January 18th, and his lifelong pursuit for racial equality.  The late Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. once stated that “Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, “what are you doing for others?” As the Garfield Heights City Schools community embarks upon the commemoration of his life and legacy, the Board of Education,  administrators, educators, and staff of the Garfield Heights City School District will continue serving our students and families… through our commitment to advance educational equity for all students and to work daily to ensure that every student has the opportunity to realize their full academic potential.
As we celebrate the contributions of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and his fight for racial equality, the District encourages you to each reflect on our role in humanity, in living out his dream. Below, please take a moment to re-watch his iconic “I Have a Dream Speech.” Thank you for your continued support, and as always, Go Bulldogs!
