GHCS Welcomes Home Board Member Joseph M. Juby

The Garfield Heights City Schools expresses its most sincere “welcome home” to long-time Board
Member, and lifelong community member Joseph M. Juby, who made a triumphant return to his
beloved home city after a long hospital and rehabilitation stay fighting through COVID-19 and its health
impacts. Surrounded by family, friends, and colleagues, Mr. Juby was greeted by several dozen
individuals who applauded him while traveling down Turney Road. A retired firefighter in our
community, Mr. Juby was greeted by current and former members of the Fire Department, Police
Department, Board President Nichelle Daniels, work colleagues from the Garfield Heights City Schools,
other friends, and family members as he made his way towards his Wolf Avenue home. Those
individuals had the chance to personally welcome Joe back home, greet him with handshakes and fist
bumps, smiles, and words of encouragement. On behalf of everyone in the Garfield Heights City Schools,
welcome home Board Member Joseph M. Juby, congratulations on your successful battle through COVID
, and may you continue on the path towards a speedy, safe, and healthy recovery.
