Navigating Grief and Loss.

The Garfield Heights High School is saddened to acknowledge the unexpected and tragic loss-of-life of one of our high school students yesterday. On behalf of the entire Garfield Heights High School family, we collectively express our condolences, and our deepest sympathies, to the family. The District has already mobilized the professional services of various internal and external grief counselors who are able to help and provide resources to students and staff. If you or your student needs any grief support, please visit the High School website where there will be a variety of resources as well as a google form to help us provide support to students and families. If you need immediate assistance please call the High School and they will direct you to the appropriate bereavement professionals.

During such an unexpected and trying circumstance, I encourage us all to remain united as a school family… a Bulldog family. We ask that everyone respect the privacy of the family and other individuals closely involved.
