December 2nd Update from Superintendent Chris Hanke

Hello Bulldogs,
I hope everyone had a safe and enjoyable Thanksgiving Break. Thank you to the parents for always going above and beyond in this post-pandemic environment to remain flexible with the Garfield Heights City Schools. The extended break with asynchronous learning was done in part, for the opportunity of an added layer of safety for everyone. We thank you once again.
Our Bulldog Winter Athletes are officially competing and representing the district, and we commend them for their sacrifice. Thank you to the coaches and to the families who also invest a great deal of time in promoting these co-curricular activities. Be sure to check the website during this time of the year, to see our student-athletes, as well as our performing arts participants, and the various activities that they have planned.
Winter Break will be here before we know it, and as COVID continues to make its presence felt, please remember to mask-up at school. Doing so keeps students and staff safe. If you have not been vaccinated, please consider doing so if you are eligible.
Thank you all for your continued support of the Garfield Heights City Schools.
Chris Hanke, Superintendent
