Hello Garfield Heights Families, 

We will be hosting our first Kinship Care Connections Support Group of the school year on Friday, October 29, 2021, at Garfield Heights Public Library from 9:30-10:30 am. 

The purpose of the Kinship Care Connections Support Group is to help caregivers support each other's understanding of expectations in school, build relationships with district staff, community members, other Kinship care providers, and families in the district. 

Building intergenerational relationships is very important in ensuring that we are helping bridge the gaps between school and home. Equipping families with strategies that ensure positive growth in and outside of school is the main goal. 

This is an opportunity for us to come together to hear wants and needs and come up with ways to link up with resources.
