The Garfield Heights City Schools and 6 of the 7 Lake Erie League high schools will be limiting overall capacity at indoor winter athletic events to further align with continued guidance from national public health organizations. Specifically, each winter sport participant will be offered 5 tickets per player. The district is currently working on a plan to accommodate families larger than 5 individuals, and we will share that information as soon as possible. Since large gatherings bring together people from multiple households of all ages, the GHCS simply seeks to ensure the health, safety, and security of all participants, families, and fans. Please stay on the lookout for further guidance from the district as to what those capacity limitations will be, and please know that the district will continue implementing strategies that reduce the spread of the coronavirus and promote safe interaction among our school community.
