Boys and Girls Club of Northeast Ohio to Make Big Presence in Garfield Heights City Schools This Summer
The Garfield Heights City Schools is extremely excited to announce that the Boys and Girls Club of Northeast Ohio will be hosting a free Summer Camp for students that have completed kindergarten through 7th grades, to provide productive and dynamic programming during our time away from school. The Boys and Girls Club Camp will begin Tuesday, June 21st, and run through Friday, August 12th from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. at Garfield Heights High School. Garfield Heights City Schools staff members will deliver a curriculum tailored to various ages and grade levels and will include S.T.E.M. and Robotics opportunities, literacy and math activities, the arts, character, and leadership development. Outdoor programming is an essential piece of the BGCNEO Summer Camp as well, where Sports and Recreation opportunities will be provided. Best of all, all participating students will receive breakfast and lunch on a daily basis during the Summer Camp.

“The return of the Boys and Girls Club to the Garfield Heights City Schools is a win-win dynamic for our school family,” said Director of Pupil Services Dr. Gordon Dupree. “The programming and care that students will receive will help their academic, social and emotional growth, assist the parents with compassionate oversight of their children, and improves our greater community.”

Students must register to participate in the BGCNEO and can do so by using this link, www.tinyurl.com/BGCNEOsummer, before May 31st. Please take advantage of this opportunity.

The Boys and Girls Club helps to foster academic success for students who are engaged in their program. Enjoyable activities along with high standards characterize their approach to learning. In addition, the Boys and Girls Club of Northeast Ohio affirms healthy lifestyles among its student body, where character and citizenship are upheld and promoted. Thank you for your continued support of the Garfield Heights City Schools. Go Bulldogs!
