When Covid-19 Collides with Cancer
The challenge of cancer can produce developmental & behavioral problems in students but with the proper support, students can gain the confidence & tools to cope with stresses throughout their lives.
Join The Gathering Place
Friday, October 9, 8:30 am-1:00 pm and learn about resources to help families and schools cope with cancer and what role YOU can play.
·     Presenters will include experts in the oncology, child, and adolescent development fields, and panelists that include adults, students, and school staff.
·     Attendees will develop an understanding of COVID-19 related worries that students, faculty, and families have related to suppressed immune systems caused by cancer treatment.
·     Learn trends in cancer incidence, implications for the school setting of both diagnosis and treatment for children, teens, adults, and school staff.
