The Garfield Heights City Schools formally graduated the beloved senior members of the Class of 2023 in a meaningful and glorious Commencement Ceremony held at Cleveland Public Hall on Thursday, June 1st, 2023. Happiness and a sense of completion filled the vast venue during the pre-ceremony gathering, as Superintendent Dr. Richard Reynolds and the distinguished members of the Board of Education congratulated senior class members. Dr. Reynolds embodied the message he has now come to champion regarding every graduate, every day, together as a primary mission for the district. Board President Nichelle Daniels spoke eloquently regarding the tenacity that the Class of 2023 demonstrated during their time in the Garfield Heights City Schools. Family and friends applauded graduates during the ceremony, as honored were Summa Cum Laude, Magna Cum Laude, and Cum Laude seniors along with those receiving Honors Diplomas. Mr. John Townsend welcomed those in the audience before the talented members of the Garfield Heights Orchestra masterfully performed a series of important songs to set an appropriate tone for the evening.
