At approximately 1 pm today, the middle school was put into lockdown to conduct a safety drill. This drill included training for local police k9 units. Out of an abundance of caution, the building is placed in lockdown so students and police dogs do not come into contact. At no time during the drill were students in danger. These drills are conducted regularly to enhance the safety and security of the school. Thank you to the Garfield Heights Police Department for coordinating this drill with the middle school.
