Dear Bulldog Families:
Based on the current status of federal and state law, Garfield Heights High School has made plans for students to take the spring Ohio’s State Tests and End-of-Course exams. Due to technology and test security requirements, there is no remote option to administer the tests. All testing must be conducted in person with a test administrator at the high school. Students MUST bring their district issued Chromebook fully charged along with the charger on their assigned test date.
The high school testing window will run from April 14th-May 12th with all testing taking place at the high school. (Learning Center students will receive testing location information from the LC) Dedicated testing areas will provide for a properly social distanced testing environment. Measures are in place to ensure the safety of students and staff. Students and staff are expected to wear a mask to school. The testing area will be sanitized. Upon entering the building, your child’s temperature will be taken.
Tests by grade are as follows this spring:
9th- Algebra, 10th- American History, Geometry, Biology, ELA II, 11th- Government
Students that are in the hybrid learning in person option (Group A and B) will be testing according to the schedule below on days they are already scheduled to come into the school. After students finish with tests they will return to classes for the day.
