Garfield Heights High School Wins Momentum Award from State of Ohio for
4th Consecutive Year
The Garfield Heights
City Schools would like to congratulate the High School for earning the coveted
Momentum Award from the State of Ohio for the 4th consecutive year.
Delivered by proclamation from Ohio Treasurer of State, the Honorable Robert
Sprague, the Momentum Award is presented to school districts from the Ohio
Board of Education to schools for exceeding expectations for student growth for
the past year. The High School had at least two Value-Added subgroups of
students, including gifted, lowest 20% in achievement and students with
disabilities. With its 4th consecutive Momentum Award, the High
School has made the deliberate effort to identify precisely where students are
in their respective academic journeys and help them grow and achieve.
Congratulations to Garfield Heights High School and building principal Tammy
Hager for this notable academic achievement.
