Garfield Heights City Schools Offers Food Drive and Resources to Help Families in Need
Garfield Heights City Schools is stepping up to support families affected by the recent government shutdown and the temporary hold on SNAP benefits for November.
To assist those in need, the district is hosting a Canned Goods and Non-Perishable Items Donation Drive during the first two weeks of November. The goal is to gather as many donations as possible early in the month so that families can begin receiving items starting Monday, November 17.
We want the first two weeks of donations to be strong, but contributions will continue to be accepted throughout the entire month of November.
Community members and staff are encouraged to contribute by dropping off donations at their school’s main office or sending items with students. Early participation will help ensure timely distribution to families in need.
“Every donation, no matter how small, makes a difference,” organizers shared. “Together, we can show our Bulldog pride by supporting one another during this challenging time.”
