Students at Garfield Heights Middle School who were the top leaders in attendance over the last quarter received a special visit on Friday, February 6th, from the Cleveland Browns organization, team mascot Chomps, and were rewarded for their efforts with a special surprise! All for doing their very best to stay in the game, and being on time and in school, these special students had the chance to design and decorate their own shoes with markers on worksheets, interact with ambassadors from the Browns, and have fun on a Friday afternoon in February. The My Cause My Cleats initiative enables students to design their own athletic shoes in association with the Cleveland Browns’ Stay in the Game program and encourages the importance of their education. Snacks and giveaways were included, and in a major surprise at the end of the event, students were given their own brand new pair of shoes, courtesy of the Stay in the Game initiative and the Cleveland Browns. Way to go, Middle School students. Congratulations on being in school and doing your very best!
