Congratulations to the group of third grade students at Elmwood Elementary School who recently participated in the annual spelling bee, providing a platform for spellers to show their leadership and literacy skills. Assisted with the help of Mrs. Baxter and Mrs. Watt, these Elmwood students demonstrated their recent skills in learning words, sounding them out with mental skills and poise, and presenting themselves in a calm and confident manner. Students from Mrs. Thomas, Mrs. Molnar, Mrs. Cillian, and Mrs. Raimer’s class all participated. Special congratulations to Kameron Kelly for winning the final round of the spelling bee competition. The Garfield Heights City Schools commends these Elmwood spelling bee participants and salutes the staff members involved with pushing our students to excel in so many ways.
