Fathers and father figures in the Garfield Heights City Schools showed up throughout the district in record amounts as Bulldog children of all ages were accompanied on their way to school on Thursday, September 17th for the annual Father’s Walk. Beginning early in the morning at Garfield Heights High School, fathers took the opportunity to join their students into the building. The line for Middle School students and their fathers wrapped around the building. Light refreshments were served throughout the Garfield Heights City Schools. Similar massive turnouts were each shown at Elmwood, Maple Leaf, and William Foster Elementary Schools as hundreds of Garfield Heights fathers and father figures helped show the value of their role in our Bulldogs' lives. Thank you to State Representative Darnell T. Brewer, who visited Maple Leaf this morning. The Garfield Heights City Schools thanks our fathers, and father figures for such an amazing turnout, your support of our children and this district, and recognizing the importance of all you do in our young ones' educational life.
