Over the weekend, Music Express wrapped up their competition season at the Solon Show Choir Invitational, delivering another strong performance to cap off an incredible year. The group placed second in their class and sixth overall, earning a spot in the evening finals round. They also brought home awards for Best Male Soloist and Best Show Moment.
Throughout the season, Music Express consistently demonstrated their talent and dedication, making finals at every competition—an accomplishment that has not happened in several years. The group also captured an Overall Grand Champion title at one competition earlier in the season.
In addition to their Grand Champion finish, Music Express earned one Class Champion title, three Class Runner-Up placements, an Overall 2nd place, an Overall 4th place, and an Overall 6th place finish during the season. The team also collected numerous caption awards, including Best Vocals, Best Choreography, Best Combo, two Best Male Soloist awards, Best Crew, Best Show Moment, Best Set Design, Best Show Concept. Overall, Best Instrumental Combo and Best Male Performer award it was an extremely successful and memorable competition season for the group.
This season also marks a special milestone for the program, as Music Express Director Mr. Pernod will be retiring at the end of the school year. His leadership and dedication have helped shape the program and create countless opportunities for students to grow and shine on stage.
