We participated in “The Birth of Hip Hop” education program, where we explored the cultural and social impact of hip hop artists and their music. From powerful storytelling to influencing generations, hip hop continues to shape the world in meaningful ways.

To kick things off, students selected one artist from the Harlem Renaissance and one Hip Hop artist, then explored how their music shaped culture and raised social awareness across generations.

Their hard work paid off, earning an overall Excellent (II) rating, including a Superior rating from a floor judge and a Superior rating from the sight-reading judge.

This meeting will also hold the annual Roses for Teachers celebration.

The high concert band and jazz band will be performing a number of selections for your enjoyment and in preparation for the concert band's participation in this Saturday's Ohio Music Education Association District Adjudicated Event at Perry High School. They will also be doing a live sight read on stage!
Wednesday's concert in the PAC begins promptly at 7pm.

With their big win, the team has advanced to the Sweet 16!

This performance is especially meaningful as it will be their director’s final competition before retiring at the end of the school year.
