Rolling Momentum Lab
Mr Mingus facilitates his applied physics class as they experiment with momentum. The cups provided area for the objects to enter, strike the interior wall of the solo cup and drive it forward. The Winter Outdoor Club at Garfield Heights High School exposes students to all winter in Cleveland has to offer including winter lights, tobogganing, and hiking! Garfield Heights High School 9th grade students visited Magnet!
In the on-site manufacturing plant tour, students were exposed to real machinery and operators. The students were given the opportunity to work on a manufacturing team using problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to work through a variety of challenges to produce a functional product. Students were able to explore today’s careers in manufacturing are technology-driven and to serve as an entryway
to other plant tours with MAGNET’s manufacturing partners.

Army Asset Truck ~ October 31, 2023
On October 31, students in Senior Seminar and Government classes were treated to a visit by the Army Asset Truck, courtesy of Staff Sergeant Quadar Goldsmith. Students experienced night vision goggles, Army safety apparel, and numerous interactive activities. Despite the chilly weather, a great time was had by all!

Come See the Band Spectacular!
This week,
Friday October 27th at 7pm in the GHHS Performing Arts Center
the Garfield Heights High School Marching Band will be performing their annual Band Spectacular! The Band Spectacular is a presentation of all of the tunes performed throughout this year's marching season. You will get another opportunity to see our Latin Show, Senior Show, and the R&B Show ALL IN ONE NIGHT!
Our flagline, danceline, and band will all have features throughout the night!
Admission is free but monetary donations to our Band Booster program
are encouraged as we are trying to get our kids to Florida this year to perform at DisneyWorld!
There will also be a bake sale and other fundraisers occurring prior to the performance in the lobby of the PAC. If you feel so inclined please take a look at those on your way into the auditorium.
Please mark your calendar and take the time to come out and support the GHHS Marching Band this Friday at the Band Spectacular!

If you are taking a date that goes to GHHS, you will need to order the 2nd ticket using their Student ID number. If you are taking an Outside Guest, please return your completed Guest Permission Form to Mrs. Lucas, and once approved, she will email you your Guest Passcode! Copies of the Guest Permission Form are in the Main Office, Athletic Office and attached to this email!
