A handful of fifth grade student leaders were invited to participate in a broadly attended ceremony to commemorate those who have served our country in honor of Veteran’s Day at Jennings Hall earlier this week. Accompanied by Guidance Officer Jen Huncharek, the Elmwood students helped to carry the various flags from the respective branches of the Armed Services and participate in the flag raising ceremony. Afterwards, each student was asked to share with the audience of more than 100 participants, why veterans are so very important in our society. The students did an outstanding job in their participation and finely represented the Garfield Heights City Schools. Thank you to Jennings Hall, for the opportunity to allow our students to participate in this meaningful program.
