Band Students Take a Trip to the Rock Hall

On May 5, 2015 the fifth grade band students from all 3 elementary schools visited the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The students took a class called the Roots of Rock and Roll: An American Journey, learning about Blues, Country and Gospel music. Artist such as Robert Johnson, The Carter Family, Muddy Waters, Mahalia Jackson, Johnny Cash and Thomas A. Dorsey were featured in this class. Students then enjoyed lunch downtown and toured the museum.
