Garfield Heights Marching Band Entertains Senior Citizens
The Garfield Heights High School Marching Band welcomed a
handful of senior citizens to the High School gymnasium earlier this week to
showcase their talents and perform a variety of songs. As part of the ongoing,
monthly engagement with our senior citizens community, members from the
Garfield Heights Senior Organization were transported by school bus to the high
school and were greeted by marching band members along with the cheerleaders
and drill team participants. The Garfield Heights Fight Song was played, along
with the District Alma Mater and classic marching band musical expressions,
such as the theme song to the movie Ghostbusters.
After the performance, which was overseen by Marching Band Director Devlin
Pope, students shook the hands of all senior citizen guests, interacted with
them and posed for a picture. Thank you to the senior citizen organization for
coming to see the talents of the students in the Garfield Heights City Schools.
