Announcements for August 26, 2019

  • Homecoming Planning Meeting 8/27 at 7:30pm:  Students-  Please join us to see how you can help plan Homecoming 2019. We will meet in the Paradigm after the PTSA meeting. Bring a friend!   • Seniors, remember to bring your meningitisforms to the Clinic
  • Do you need a new Mentor shirt or hat to show off your school pride? Then you will be excited to know that the Spirit Store is now open! Students, parents and community members can shop during school hours! The money raised goes towards job training for students! Come in and check out the items we have for sale!
  • Attention students: 2018-2019 Mentor High School yearbooks are now for sale. If you forgot to purchase yours last year, please stop by the bookstore to pick up a copy while supplies last. The cost is $80 and will be sold on a first come first serve basis. 

Athletics

  • Come support your MHS girls soccer team on Wednesday. We play Strongsville at 7pm. Be there!
  • Any girls grade 9-12 interested in playing basketball this coming season, there will be a meeting on September 4th at 7:45am in C Lecture.

Clubs

  • Are you looking for a way to meet new people at MHS? Do you like to challenge yourself? Do you want to improve your problem solving skills? If you answered “yes” to any of those questions, come to room C203 after school TOMORROW, 2:30 – 3:30, to see what Math League is all about. There will be an abundance of cookies and fun math problems!
  • It's back! Improv Club makes its return this Friday, August 30th in A-Lecture from 2:30-4:30. Hope to see you there!!Come to Spanish club! We'll have our first meeting on Wednesday, August 28th from 2:30 to 3:00 in room B210. All are welcome regardless of Spanish level.
  • Have you ever created a secret code that you and your friends share either writing or speaking? Have you ever heard Jabba the Hut speak in Star Wars, Elvish from Lord of the Rings? These are all fictional languages or "conlangs". If you're interested in creating your very own fictional language, come to the Conlang Club. We'll have our first meeting on today, August 26th from 2:30 to 3:00 in room B210. All are welcome regardless of language ability.
  • PRIDE Club starts this Tuesday, August 27. We'll be meeting in A-Lect from 2:30pm -3:30pm. All are welcome. Please join us. If you have any questions please see Miss Vovko in I104 or Ms. Gomori in Unit 10..
  • Come join RPG Club in P-103, today right after school for a fun filled collaborative strorytelling game. We can teach you how! Don't know what I'm talking about? Come by and find our more. Ya know you wanna. Today, P-103, RPG Club.Do you like to argue? 
  • Objection!  Do you want to learn about the law?  Sustained!  Do you want to see what it might be like to be a prosecutor or a witness?  Mock Trial Club is for you!  We will be holding a Mock Trial Club Informational Meeting on Wednesday, August 28, 2019 from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. (it may not take the entire hour) in the Paradigm.  Please come and learn about Mock Trial Club.  If you cannot attend the meeting, but you are still interested in Mock Trial Club, please email Mrs. DiNovo at [email protected].
