Garfield Heights' All Pro Dads program kicked off the year at Elmwood, Maple Leaf and William Foster on Friday, November 21st. Over breakfast with their child, dads were encouraged to share stories about their children and their accomplishments. The theme for the month was acceptance, and dads and children were given conversation starters to encourage conversations with those around them. At the end of the morning, dads and students were given a monthly challenge to go out and make a new friend during the next month.
The All Pro Dad Program runs monthly at each elementary school, encouraging positive relationships between dads and their children. The dates for upcoming events are: Friday, December 12th; Friday, January 23rd; Friday, February 20th; Friday, March 20th; Friday, April 17th; and Friday, May 8th. All breakfasts take place from 7:15 a.m. to 8:15 a.m. in the gymnasium of each building.
