Summer Bridge Program Closing Ceremony-- Participating students and their families from Maple Heights and Garfield Heights High Schools will be recognized for their summer achievements Thursday, July 24th, 2014 from 6pm ‒ 8pm , Garfield Heights High School Performing Arts Center  
The "Students of Promise" program began this summer at Garfield Heights High School.
The program partners with students who need extra guidance to reach future goals. Each child is partnered with a Linkage Coordinator in their school who acts as a mentor, role model, monitor, and advocate for the student’s success. Students of Promise is a Shared Responsibility approach. Everyone is on the same team to help a student achieve.  
Bulldog Football Summer workouts continue
Bulldog Football continues lifting & conditioning drills during the month of July. Football Camp for grades 9-12 begins on August 4th at 7:45am.  Team meeting at the high school field on Sunday August  3rd at 6:00pm.   
Fall Athlete Baseline Concussion Testing
Garfield Heights Athletic Department in cooperation with The Cleveland Clinic will be conducting Baseline Concussion Testing for all fall athletes on Friday July 25, 2014. Testing will begin at 8:00am in the Main Gym.

High School Office closed July 1 - August 1
The High School Office will be closed during the month of July. Please contact the Garfield Heights Board of Education Offices at (216) 475-8100 for any urgent High School business.  
Senior Car Wash
The Class of 2015 summer car wash fundraisers begin.  The next Class of 2015 Car Wash dates: Saturday July 19th (10:00-2:00) & Saturday August 2 (10:00-2:00) at Garfield Heights High School.  Click here for pics.   

Craig Sloan represents Garfield Heights in the East-West All Star Game
Sloan led all players with 76 rushing yards on six carries. Craig also added a 22 yard pick-6 to help lead the East team to a 14-7 victory. Sloan was selected the East All-Star MVP.

Garfield HeightsCity Schools Recycling Impact
The "Tree Huggers" Club and the Garfield Heights Community collected more than 165,800 pounds of paper from June 2013--May 2014. Click on "read more" to see the Environmental Impact of this program.

Senior Cookout 2014
Despite a five day delay due to rain, the Class of 2014 enjoyed their Senior Cookout which has been a Garfield tradition for the last 24 years. Pictures from the cookout.
