Superintendent Message

A Message from Superintendent Terry Olszewski

By now, I am sure that you have heard about the sudden and tragic loss of life that affected our school community earlier this week. On behalf of the Board of Education and entire Garfield Heights City Schools, we express our collective condolences, and our deepest sympathies, to the family of those who were abruptly taken away from us all. The District has involved the professional services of various internal and external grief counselors during the latter part of this week, and will continue to have these resources available to students and staff on an as needed basis. In addition, a number of important grief, domestic violence, and crisis resources have been posted online and we strongly encourage you to utilize them with your families.

Please remember that during such trying times, we must all remain a family… a Bulldog family. We ask that everyone respect the privacy of the family and other individuals closely involved.
