Garfield Heights Middle School hosted it's second Family Engagement Night earlier this week as a way to further strengthen the partnership between the school building and the family.
Principal Chris Hanke opened the evening with a heartfelt ‘thank you’ message to the 75+ participants that braved the weather and engaged in the event. As a special guest speaker, Michael Douglas, an alumni of Garfield Heights City Schools, and leader of Diversity Initiatives, re-affirmed the values necessary for a strong partnership between home and school. A pizza snack was provided, and teachers from the Middle School were on hand to discuss various initiatives underway in the building.
