Evacuation Drills Were a Success

The district completed 3 practice evacuation drills last week at each of the elementary school buildings. Each evacuation drill was successfully completed. Our elementary schools evacuated by bus to the High School, where the students were gathered by class in the Center for Performing Arts. They were then transported by bus back to their school building, where regular lessons resumed.

We wish to thank the Mr. Horvan and the transportation drivers for getting our children and staff to and from their schools safely. We would also like to thank Ms. Hager and the building staff at the High School for assisting with the evacuation drills as students filed into that building.

These drills will not only keep us prepared for any unexpected emergency situation, but they also show just how committed the district is to the safety and well-being of our students and staff.
