The Garfield Heights City Schools would like to extend its congratulations to High School sophomore Marcus Johnson for making it official earlier this week, that he will continue his basketball playing career at The Ohio State University. Johnson made the announcement at signing ceremony at the High School surrounded by father, and Head Boys Coach Sonny, his mother, family, friends, and the media. Marcus Johnson is currently the Number 1 prospect in the State of Ohio, and one of the most highly rated high school guards in the entire nation. He had scholarship offers from a variety of other top-rated schools in the country, but always desired to play for the Buckeyes. Johnson helped lead the Bulldogs to the Regional Finals this past season and will look forward to future individual and team successes!
