The Garfield Heights City Schools and the City of Garfield Heights maintains a dynamic working and collaborative relationship and one way that the full effect of this special connection is on full display is when our hard working students are able to interact with our community’s senior citizens. Such was the case earlier this week when the talented vocalists and performers of the District’s High School and Middle School show choir student organizations visited a roomful of seniors at Garfield Heights Civic Center. The High School Music Express group blended song and dance to engage the golden agers, while the Middle School’s Center Stage provided a glimpse into the future talent among our student body. Special thanks goes out to Mr. Steve Pernod and Miss Reiko Carey for their mentorship of these student organizations. Overall, the GHCS values the ongoing partnership with the City of Garfield Heights and its senior citizen community. View more photos HERE.
