A Message from the Principal - Mr. Sean Patton
A Message from the Principal - Mr. Sean Patton

August 2017

Dear Families -

On behalf of the entire building staff, welcome to William Foster Elementary School. We hope that you had a terrific summer and that students will return to school excited to learn. Families of students at our building are certainly encouraged to make school discussion an everyday topic in their respective homes, in addition to checking students’ blue folders. The staff at William Foster intends to make every avenue possible for parents to remain connected with the growth and development of their students.

Because of the hard work of our custodial staff, students will be resuming class in a wonderfully cleaned and prepared building. Thank you to them for their hard work and attention to detail.
Students at William Foster should expect to continue focusing on our building core values, which include PAWS - being Prompt and Prepared, Accepting Responsibility, Working Hard and Showing Respect. Every student should plan on continued focus on literacy skills and ensuring that basic math facts are memorized.

Parents are encouraged to attend Open House this year, which will take place on Wednesday, August 30, 2017, in an effort to build rapport with your child’s teacher. Please do your best to complete paperwork as necessary and encourage your child to do their very best each and every day at school. Fall Family Fun Night will take place on Friday, September 15, 2017 at the High School prior to the home varsity football game that night, and elementary families are strongly encouraged to attend.

At William Foster, parents will have plenty of opportunities to seek involvement. Activities such as All Pro Dads, Donuts for Dads, Muffins for Mom, parent-teacher conferences, concerts and volunteering in the classroom are all examples of areas in which you can get involved. Plus, the very first PTA meeting will be a great way to remain active in your son or daughter’s school.

We’re planning to have a very successful year, and I appreciate your help in accomplishing this goal. My door is open at all times to you. Thank you very much.
