We are proud to partner with Invest in Children’s Universal Pre-Kindergarten Program to deliver a high-quality preschool experience for the families and children we serve
.

The Garfield Heights City Schools is pleased to offer two preschool programs for residents of Garfield Heights:

The Garfield Heights Preschool Half Day Program serves typically developing children (ages 4-5) and children with special needs (ages 3-5).

The Four Year Old Preschool Full Day Program serves children ages 4-5 (as long as they are not 5 years old before August 1st of the current school year).

AGES:
Children with special needs must be 3 years old and all other children must be 4 years old by August 1st of the current school year.

TRANSPORTATION:
Transportation to both programs is the parent's responsibility.  Students who are not picked up promptly and left past the designated times will be removed from the program.

ENROLLMENT:
Enrollment for both programs is based on income.  Please see the income guidelines for the Half Day program and Full Day program.  Those children not accepted at this time will be placed on a waiting list and notified in the event of a vacancy in the program of interest. Vacancies are filled throughout the year as they may occur and will be filled with the following considerations in mind: age, income level, residence, placement on the waiting list, and other relevant factors. Parents will receive a notification when an opening becomes available for their child. Our preschool programs are designed to give students a head start in kindergarten. Therefore, children will be expected to attend on a regular basis. Students who have 10 or more unexcused absences or 20 absences during a quarter, will be removed from the program. Special needs preschoolers will have to enroll in preschool through our Special Education Pupils Services office. They can be contacted at 216-475-8100.

REGISTRATION:
Space in both programs is limited so please submit your application as soon as possible.   If you are interested in registering for either preschool program, please click here to begin registration.
